My favorite 2 are the second photo and the first photo

The first photo I instantly knew was going to be cool. I spend a decent amount of time getting the framing and settings right. I spent most of my time with the white point making sure I got the right colors that I wanted. If I could go back and do it again, I would probably want to use a tripod and set the shutter speed higher so it was brighter, and I would probably change the white point a bit more.

The second photo is my favorite photo. It was one of those times where all the settings just worked and everything lined up in a way that just worked. It was taken at Locus beach, and I love the way the colors look, and the clouds are lined up in a cool way, and I got a little stick on the side of the photo. I love everything about this photo, and I don’t think I would change anything if I did it again.

The third photo I also took at Locus beach. I really loke this one as well. The colors are saturated, there’s a nice leading line that directs the attention to the mountain in the background, and the water is nice and still. I think if I did it again, I would maybe shoot it a bit lower to the ground and make it a bit more centered.

The fourth photo is a cool photo when I saw those posts I knew I wanted to get a picture of it. I took a few and this one ended up being the best. If I could do it again, I would make it more centered. I dint know why I didn’t just move over a few feet it would have made it so much better but regardless I still like this photo a lot.

 This week, we focused on capturing images of animals in our neighborhood while reflecting on the types of wildlife that inhabit the area. Observing and photographing these creatures provided a fascinating insight into their behaviors and movements, making me appreciate the subtle beauty of local wildlife.  One of my favorite moments was photographing an owl, a shot from a previous quarter that I was particularly proud of. I managed to capture the bird’s full wingspan in Cornwall Park with a synchronous series of about five images, showcasing the power and grace of its flight.  Nature is all around us! A camera is an incredible tool that not only captures what we see, but helps us to see more. When we pick up a camera we find ourselves on the spectrum between art and science. While our cameras objectively capture light, we decide where to point them and why. If a picture is worth a thousand words then an image can make valuable contribute to our understanding of an organism, inspire people to action, or make  someone smile. Water Photoshoot -- Contessa

  Water is what drew me to Bellingham. I was raised in Pennsylvania, a landlocked state, and while some count Lake Erie's 77 miles of Pennsylvania shoreline as a vague exemption to landlocked-ness, I do not. My entire life, the closest ocean was at least a full day's drive away in New Jersey. Those in Philadelphia had the luxury of making that drive in under two hours, but Pittsburgh is closer to the Midwest by a long shot, and I was significantly closer to Indianapolis than the ocean.  My mom was born and raised in University Place, Tacoma with constant access to the water. If it was nice out, she went to the water. If it was a special occasion, she went to the water.
