Water pic - Isa

These are my top three water photos. Each one was taken in different locations spanning from Bellingham Bay to the waters surrounding the Olympic National Forest. I love the first picture because it shows a beautiful reflection of the tree line that surrounds this body of water. Also, the darker tone adds a sort of gloomy effect to the emotion of this picture. The second picture, I feel, is also one of my favorites because of the contrast between the cloud layer and the ocean.  To address the question of what water means to me, I went to high school on the Big Island of Hawaii. I came in during my junior year, so right after lockdown. When I arrived, the island was empty, and the beaches were filled with locals (the way it should be). I ended up spending a lot of time at the beach during my Junior year before I started making friends. Once I made more acquaintances and eventually friends, I still spent a lot of time at the beach. That same year, I made friends with two very important people in my life. One of them is an exchange student from Germany. So evidently, we ended up spending a lot of time at the beach because Germany does not have the same beaches as Hawaii. We would go for sunrise, and come back for sunset. We would tan until they burned. So to me, water means connection, it means a sense of comfort and even friendship.
