Water photoshoot - Marcos

To me, these 5 photos encapsulate the entire coast line of the pacific north west. The cold chill of the sound, the rare sandy beach, the rock that has stood the beating of the waves, it all makes up my favorite place on earth. To capture a lot of my water photos, I needed to play around with shutter speed, to not have my waves appear to be blurs of motion. I had a lot of trouble shooting the water photos because getting the timing right on when to take the photo was really tricky and took several tries to get a alright photo. I wish I had more time with this project so I could shoot a better wave picture.

Shooting these rocks was some of the most fun I've had when shooting environmental photography. Figuring out unique angles and ways to shoot the holes in the limestone was a interesting challenge that I was glad to take on. The amount of small shadows and fluctuating patters provided a subject that was able to be shot in different ways every single time. I would have loved to spent some more time capturing them.
