Landscape photos - a etc
I decided to do my landscape photography of the little pond outside of our Fairhaven building. It’s more micro than most landscape photos but I was captivated by the beauty of the frozen pond. It was about 4 pm and still light out, and with each photo I played around with the aperture and shutter speed settings, as well as exposure.
As it was snowing I found some difficulty in getting the photos to turn out okay and not be overexposed due to the snow, but I eventually managed to get some good shots. I particularly like the green
of the algae underneath the ice. It seems to shine this beautiful emerald that you don’t get to see in other places. Other than that it was also the case of making sure the shutter speed was at an okay setting to capture the moving water as well.
Unfortunately, I did not bring my stand, as it was sort of spur of the moment, so I also needed to remain as still as possible for this image. Still, I think they turned out rather nice. A frozen freeze frame of a beautiful little area close to us.
