Photograph a Scene Throughout a Day- Binta
For my scene, I chose to photograph the view from my balcony. I took my first picture at 10:50am, then again at 1:30pm, next at 3:15pm, then lastly at 5:50pm. Throughout the day, the changes in the light and weather changed the mood and details of my view.
In the morning, the light was soft but bright, and everything looked a little frosty. There were long shadows from the trees and buildings, which made it feel kind of peaceful and quiet, and the sky was completely clear. By 1:30 p.m., the sun was way higher, and it looked warmer. The frost was pretty much gone, and the trees and rooftops looked sharper and more colorful.
By 3:15 p.m., the light started shifting again, getting softer and cooler. The shadows were stretching out more, and there were some clouds moving in that gave the scene a whole different energy like the day was starting to wind down. Finally, at 5:50 p.m., the sun was gone, and everything felt really calm. The sky was a dark bluish-purple and most of the clouds were now gone.
Taking these pictures made me realize how much light and time can change how we see the same thing. It also reminded me of how short the days are in Winter— everything feels faster somehow.
